| Q. | How does the Remote Deposit Service work? |
| A. | The Remote Deposit Service is a web-based system that uses imaged-based technology to submit checks for deposit electronically using a PC and a scanning device. Each check scanned for deposit generates an electronic image (front and back) that is transmitted directly to our processing site along with the information on the check MICR line. Once the item is received at our processing site, it will become a Substitute Check/Image Replacement document or remain an electronic image and sent to the Federal Reserve or a correspondent check clearing network for collection |
