By partnering with The American Red Cross, bank employees are committing to support this ongoing effort that will provide needed resources to those adversely affected by this catastrophic event. Under the direction of its executive management team, Provident Bank will match employee contributions to the American Red Cross, dollar for dollar, up to $20,000. Additionally, Provident has made a contribution of $5,000 to the American Red Cross as its Group Manager of Operations Russ Johnson serves as an active Board Member of the Central Maryland chapter. "Provident employees recognize that there is an immediate need to assist the thousands of people who have been displaced and forever changed," said Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Gary Geisel. "Many of our employees have family and friends in the Gulf Coast region. This is our way of encouraging them to begin the process of slowly rebuilding their lives, homes and communities."
