PROVIDENT  BANK'S CONSTANCE BECK PROMOTED TO SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT

Baltimore — Provident Bank announces the promotion of Constance Beck to Senior Vice President within its Commercial Banking Division. In this position, Beck will serve as a team leader responsible for developing and managing real estate relationships for both residential and commercial real estate entities and developers.

Beck has 14 years of experience in real estate finance and portfolio management, and another 10 years in commercial lending. Prior to filling her current position, she was responsible for origination of construction, acquisition, and rehabilitation loans for a variety of real estate in the commercial and residential sectors. Before joining Provident in 1999, Beck served as Vice President of First Virginia Mortgage Corporation in Falls Church, VA. She was also an Independent Financial Consultant engaged by the Merrill Lynch Credit Corporation’s Commercial Real Estate Finance Division’s Private Client Group and The Pleasants Companies. She was formerly a Vice President at Potomac Investment Associates in Gaithersburg, MD.

Beck said she would like to "develop a team which will further enhance the goal of making Provident the preeminent real estate lending institution in the DC area " as well as "fully develop strong relationships with clients and prospects."

After earning her B.A. from Grinnell College in Iowa, Beck completed graduate work at American University in Washington, D.C. where she earned her MBA. She currently serves on the Finance Committee of the Maryland-National Capital Building Industry Association.

Beck, who was born in New Orleans, grew up in Northern Virginia. She now resides in Potomac, MD.
