PROVIDENT BANK PROMOTES LAURIE SLIZEWSKI TO VICE PRESIDENT

Baltimore, December 14, 2005 — Provident Bank announces the promotion of Laurie B. Slizewski to Vice President within its Consumer Banking Division.

Slizewski, who was previously the Commercial Manager of Provident’s Canton Branch, has more than 27 years of small business lending and mortgage experience. She holds Life and Series 6 licensed certifications and was previously the Branch Manager of the Canton and Locust Point branch locations. Prior to joining the Provident, Slizewski was an underwriter with Paxton Capital in Lanham, MD and was an Operations Manager with Fairfax Mortgage in Bel Air, MD. She gained her early experience as a District Manager with Ryland Mortgage in Towson, MD.

Slizewski was a Business major at Loyola College in Baltimore. She currently serves as 2nd Vice President of the Exchange Club of Highlandtown/Canton and as Vice President of Business Networking International.

Originally from Towson, she currently resides in Bel Air, MD.
