Baltimore — Provident Bank announces the promotion of Mary M. Hatfield to Senior Vice President and Manager of the Compensation Office within the Human Resources Division. Hatfield has 18 years of experience in compensation. Prior to joining Provident in 2003, she served as a Compensation Manager at M&T Bank (formerly Allfirst Bank) in Baltimore. In this role, Hatfield was responsible for the design, implementation and administration of direct compensation programs including executive compensation, performance management, market trend analysis, incentive plan design and the merit increase process. Hatfield said she looks forward to "continued support from management to provide competitive compensation for all employees and to be involved in bankwide projects and initiatives." She is currently leading the Goals & Compensation team of the Relationship Sales Culture initiative. Born and raised in Hanover, PA, Hatfield currently resides in Randallstown, MD. She obtained her B.A. in Communication Studies at Pennsylvania State University in State College, PA with a Public Relations Specialty and a Business Minor.
