Baltimore, August 13, 2004 — Provident Bank announces the promotion of David A. Miller to Senior Vice President of its Treasury Division at the bank’s headquarters, located at 114 E. Lexington St. in Baltimore.
With more than 17 years of extensive bond portfolio management, liquidity management and bank treasury experience, Mr. Miller will be responsible for managing Provident’s $2 billion investment portfolio and its borrowed money portfolio. He is also the bank’s investment and funding manager. Prior to joining Provident in February 1995, Mr. Miller was employed as an officer at the former Maryland National Bank.
Mr. Miller holds an M.S. in Finance from Loyola College and a B.S. in Finance from the University of Baltimore. In addition to being a Certified Public Accountant, he is a C.F.A. Candidate.
Currently, Mr. Miller serves on the Board of Directors for Sandtown Habitat for Humanity as Treasurer and is a Member of the Associated Catholic Charities Development Committee. A lifelong Maryland resident, he currently resides in Ellicott City, MD.
